A Final Reflection:
1. What is the most important concept you learned this semester? Explain the concept briefly and discuss why it is important.
The most important concept I learned this semester is by far that there are so many ways to make your voice heard. I never knew about wikispaces or any of the other technological concepts that many of my peers used for their research project. I used what I was used to (Imovie for MAC) for my project, but I have decided to broaden my horizon for more recent project in other classes.
2. From all the new knowledge you gained in this class, choose 2 facts or ideas that make the biggest impression on you. Explain.
The whole chart on how to take all your research and fit it into a limited amount of time I found very effective. Also the final projects made by my classmates were the most interesting ideas. I was so excited to see what research topics people came up with.
3. What 3 skills will you take from this class, and how will you use them in the future?
The 3 skills I learned would probably be
where to display the information you have researched.-Before you thought you had to send your research out to be chosen by articles or spread through the word of mouth. With the internet, everyone has a voice.
What is the most effective way to display the said research.- Linked information and long text is usually boring and not instantaneous enough for an internet reader. I learned different methods to get your idea out quicker through movies, youtube, prezi, ect.
And the research organization. - Wiki was an effective tool to keep track of my research. I also learned plenty of ways to track the websites I found as well as share them with other people through diigo for example.
4. Look at the 4 global competencies (objectives) for the course. Which objective do you feel you developed to the greatest degree?
What did you learn about that objective, how did you learn it, and why does it matter in the world?
Defiantly communicate ideas.
I learned the most effective ways to share my research and ideas by establishing my audience and to see where they would go to find it. it matters so you can add to the conversation over the web with anyone who is willing to listen.
5. What does it mean to be a global leader in the 21st century?
Being a global leader means that you are able to understand what the 21st century is revolved around. When you want to share ideas and share discoveries, you need to know where to display your information where it will be seen.
